If I don't remember my ATM PIN, can I still change my mobile number or email ID or device?

Here's the thing, to update these details, we usually have a security protocol in place.

It requires you to enter your ATM PIN. But, since you cannot recollect your ATM PIN, there's a way to fix it:

If you can access the Fi app:

  • Tap on the Debit Card icon on the top-right of the Home screen.
  • Next, select 'Card Settings'.
  • Choose 'Reset ATM PIN' and follow the on-screen instructions to reset your PIN

If you cannot access the Fi app:

  • Place a call to our banking partner's self-help line. You can reach Federal Bank's IVR at 0484-2866700 or 0484-6716700.
  • Then, press 1 to reset your PIN.
  • Once your PIN reset is complete, you need to reactivate your card.
  • To do this, complete a transaction using the physical card. Example: Swipe it at the bill counter of a store's card machine; withdraw money from an ATM, or check your balance at ATM, etc.

Updating your details after you've reset your PIN:

  • You'll have to log out of the Fi app and log in again.
  • Be sure to enter the new details that require linking to your account.
  • After you've provided these details, we'll verify your identity.
  • For security reasons, the verification process includes a short video recording & your ATM Card PIN.
  • Once you finish this procedure, we'll update your details & you can log in to the Fi app once again.

Next time, if you want to update your details: Make sure that your ATM Card is activated & you've set a Card PIN. Also, ensure that you haven't frozen/suspended your card.
