My video verification check is failing. What do I do?
Our video verification works best if you are in a well-lit place.
Also, please align your face within the on-screen oval marker.
Once your face gets detected:
- Click on the record button and read the on-screen authentication code out loud. Example: If the code is 7065, please read it out as "Seven-Zero-Six-Five".
Best practices:
- Place yourself in front of a plain background before the recording.
- Try to ensure that there are no other people or pictures in the recording.
- Stay within arm's length of the camera — i.e. not too far or too close!
- Record the video without headphones/earphones. Sometimes, we can't hear the audio very clearly from such mic-in devices.
- If there's any background noise, try moving to a quieter place. Even switching off a fan (for a few minutes) can reduce ambient sound significantly!
Number of reattempts:
- If, for some reason, your video verification fails even after doing all this, don't worry: You can retry 3 times!
- And in case all your retries are exhausted, please wait for 72 hours, and our team will manually verify it.
