You need to have an acknowledgement number called the application coupon number in the UTIITSL portal in order to track PAN card delivery status. However, the initial form to check your PAN status is slightly different for NSDL and UTIITSL. Let’s look at the differences:

1. Visit the UTIITSL website.

3. You will get to the PAN card tracking window. 
4. You need to enter any one of the following information to track your PAN card status: Your application coupon number or PAN Number.
5. Enter your date of birth or, if your PAN is for a company, its incorporation date.
6. Enter the details, verify the captcha and click submit.
7. The site will direct you to a corresponding screen to see your PAN card status.

2. Track PAN card delivery status via NSDL

1. Visit the NSDL PAN tracking page.
2. Use the dropdown menu and select ‘PAN New / Change Request’.
3. Enter your 15-digit application acknowledgement number in the box.
4. Verify the captcha and click Submit.
5. You will be directed to the corresponding page, where you can see your PAN card status.

3. Track PAN card delivery status with Aadhaar 

1. Visit the income tax e-filing official website. 
2. On the homepage, look for the tabs on the left corner of the page. 
3. Click the ‘Instant e PAN’ button.
4. Select ‘Check Status / Download PAN’ and click ‘Continue’.
5. Enter your Aadhaar number and click ‘Continue’.
6. An OTP will be sent to your registered email address and mobile number.
7. Enter the OTP, verify the captcha and click Submit. 
8. You will be redirected to the corresponding page displaying your PAN status.
9. You can download the status on your device.

4. Track PAN card delivery status through SMS or a call 

If going to these sites and entering details looks like a hassle, you can even check your PAN status with SMS or a call. 

To do so:

1. For SMS - Type UIDPAN <your Aadhaar number> <your PAN number> to 57575.
2. For a call - Dial 022-27218080 and provide your PAN acknowledgement number or application coupon number.

Once your PAN application is confirmed, you can check the shipping status through the India Post website. You will receive your shipment tracking or consignment number for the PAN card.

1. Visit the India Post consignment tracking page.
2. Enter your consignment number in the box.
3. Enter the security code and click Submit.
