What’s Inside

What is a PF Account?

Before you go through the step-by-step process and learn how to check PF balance online, you need to have a clear idea of what a PF or provident fund account is!

It is a type of retirement savings scheme. Both the employees and employers contribute a portion of the employee's salary to create this fund. As the money accumulates over time, it builds a corpus of funds for their post-retirement, when you are switching jobs or during an emergency. The purpose of this fund is to financially secure employees even when they have stopped earning professionally.
